240 packets of Ganja seized at Ara

Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raids at a number of makeshift shops at the gate of Ara Sadar Hospital and seized 240 packets of Ganja on February 6 evening. Police also arrested a Ganja smuggler Ganesh Prasad, son of Rajendra Prasad, in this connection. A named FIR was lodged with Town police station, Ara, under NDPS Act and Ganesh was forwarded to jail.

SHO, Town Police Station, said that Ganesh Prasad of Narahi village under Chandi police station lives in Shivganj area under Town police station and had a small makeshift shop at the gate of Ara Sadar Hospital but he dealt in ganja from his shop.

Police also police conducted raids at different places in Bhojpur district on February 6 evening and arrested 18 persons including seven women and also seized IMFL and zawa mahua in large quantity. Later, police forwarded all the arrested persons to jail.
