Buxar : Police conducted raids at different places under Buxar Muffassil police station on May 26, 2017, and seized 173 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from two three- wheelers and arrested drivers of both the vehicles : Pintu Bind and Balmiki Ram of Akhauripur Chausa Gola in Buxar district. An FIR was lodged against them. Later, police forwarded them to jail.
Buxar GRP, on the other hand, arrested Babu Lal of Varanasi from a passenger train with two bottles of IMFL on May 26, 2017. Police had also seized 65 bottles of IMFL around midnight on May 25 near Veer Kuer Singh bridge in Buxar district though the liquor smugglers escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
