New Delhi : Coronavirus patients getting cured rose to 6,77,422 in India at 8 am on July 19, 2020, an increase of 23,672 during last 24 hours. The Corona death toll in the country jumped to 26,816 in the country with 543 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country.
Timely, proactive, and graded strategy initiatives for effective COVID-19 management in the country, led by the Center and implemented by the State/UT governments, have ensured that actual case load of COVID patients remains manageable. The actual case load of COVID in the country was only 3,58,692 on July 18, 2020.
A central team has been deployed in Bihar to assist the State in assessment of COVID management in the state and to provide all necessary support. The team consists of Lav Agarwal, Jt Secy (Public Health), MoHFW; Dr S K Singh, Director, NCDC; and Dr Neeraj Nischal, Associate Professor (Medicine), AIIMS, New Delhi. The team will reach Bihar on July 19, 2020, according to a PIB release.
