Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar climbed to 2,40,939 cases on December 10, 2020, afternoon, as 690 more persons including 267 from Patna, 34 from Muzaffarpur, 28 from Saran, and 23 from Nawada, tested positive to it on December 8, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 21 persons from Purnia, 20 each from Bhagalpur and Begusarai, 19 from Nalanda, 17 each from Rohtas and Katihar, 16 from Jehanabad, 15 each from Gaya and Khagaria, 13 from Kishanganj, 12 each from Saharsa and Samastipur, 11 each from from Sitamarhi and Darbhanga, 9 from East Champaran, and 8 each from Araria, Banka, Madhepura, Madhubani, and Vaishali, also tested positive to  ovid-19 on December 8, 2020.

Of the 240939 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar, altogether 2,34,498 patients have been declared cured including 707 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.33 % on December 9, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar 5,137 on December 9. The state has tested 1,57,82,581 samples so far including 1,17,863 samples on December 8, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,303 in Bihar on December 9, 2020, with 3 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Saran, Siwan, and Purnia.
