Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,38,541 on December 5, 2020, afternoon, as 573 more persons including 197 from Patna, 32 from Purnia, 31 from Nalanda, 20 from Begusarai, and 19 from Madhubani, tested positive to it on December 4, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 18 persons from Muzaffarpur, 14 each from Katihar, Saharsa and Saran, 13 from Darbhanga, 12 each from East Champaran and Lakhisarai, 11 each from Araria, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Siwan, and Kishanganj, and 10 from Jehanabad, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 4, 2020.
Of the 2,38,541 Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar till date, altogether 2,31,866 patients have been declared cured including 758 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.20%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,382 on December 5, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,53,02,698 samples so far including 128642 on December 4, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,292 in Bihar on December 5, 2020, with 5 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Patna, Saran, Gaya, Katihar, and Madhubani. The toll increased to 335 in Bihar on December 5, 2020.,
