Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar surged to 2,36,098 on December 1, 2020, afternoon, as 482 more persons including 133 from Patna, 39 fro Aurangabad, 38 from Muzaffarpur, 19 from Nawada, and 18 from Bhagalpur,  tested positive to it on November 30, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 15 persons each from Jehanabad, Samastipur,  and Katihar, 13 each from East Champaran, Purnia, and Kishanganj, 12 each from Madhubani and Supaul, 11 each from Nalanda, Vaishali, and Madhepura, and 10 each from Siwan and Munger, and 9 from Gaya, also tested positive to Covid-19 on November 30, 2020.

Of the  2,36,098 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar, a total of 2,29,365 patients have been declared cured including 567 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.15%. The number of active cases in the state was 5,464 on December 1, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,47,94,415 samples so far including 1,29,984 samples on November 30, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll in Bihar jumped to increased to 1,268 on December 1, 2020, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including 2 from West Champaran and one each from Patna and Vaishali. The toll increased to 327 in Patna on December 1.
