Patna : Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar climbed to 2,31,044 on November 23, 2020, afternoon, as 412 more persons including 155 from Patna, 31 from Aurangabad, 19 from Begusarai, 18 from Saharsa, and 16 from Bhagalpur, tested positive to the disease on November 22, 2020.

According State Health Department figure, 13 persons from Gaya, 11  each from Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Nawada, and Saran, 10 from Madhepura, 9 each from East Champaran and Samastipur, 8 each from Katihar, Munger, and Buxar, 7 deach from Jehanabad and Madhubani, 6 from Supaul, and 5 each from Kishanganj and Purnia, also tested positive to Covid-19 on November 22, 2020.

Of the 2,31,044 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 2,24,701 patients have been declared cured including 480 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.25%.Bihar has tested 1,37,43,532 samples so far including 1,06,055 samples on November 22, 2020. The number of active case in Bihar was 5,115 on November 23, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,227 on November 23,2020, with 6 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including 2 from Patna, 2 from Madhubani,  and one each from Muzaffarpur and Nalanda. The toll jumped to 314 in Patna on November 23.
