Patna : The COVID-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar rose to 2,29,474 on November 19, 2020, afternoon, as 794 more persons including 245 from Patna, 46 from Muzaffarpur, 33 from Bhagalpur, and 31 from West Champaran, tested positive to it on November 18, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 28 persons from Vaishali, 27 from Aurangabad, 26 from Gopalganj, 24 from Gaya, 24 from Jehanabad, 24 from Purnia, 23 from Begusarai, 20 from Lakhisarai, 18 from Kishanganj, 16 each from Sitamarhi and Supaul, 14 each from Araria, Madhubani, and Katihar, 12 from Saharsa, 12 from Saran, 11 from Madhepura, 11 from Arwal, and 9 each from Siwan and Darbhanga, also tested positive to COVID-19 on November 18, 2020.
Of the 2,29,474 COVID-19 cases recorded in Bihar so far, altogether 2,22,492 patients have been declared cured including 681 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 96.96%. Bihar has tested 1,33,49,790 samples so far including 1,17,709 samples on November 18, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,772 on November 19, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,209 on November 19 with 8 new deaths being recorded in the state during last 24 hours including 2 from Patna, 2 from Saran, and one each from Darbhanga, Nalanda, Vaishali, and Saharsa. The toll jumped to 307 in Patna on November 19.
