Patna : COVID-19 cases recorded in Bihar rose to 2,22,612 on November 8, 2020, afternoon, as 801 more persons including 306 from Patna, 51 from Nalanda, 40 from Gaya, 37 from Darbhanga, and 36 from Muzaffarpur, tested positive to it on November 7, 2020.
According to State Health Department data, 24 persons from Jehanabad, 23 from Begusarai, 21 from Araria, 21 from Nawada, 21 from Saharsa, 19 from Siwan, 18 gfrom Saran, 15 from Purnia, 14 from Madhubani, and 11 each from Aurangabad, Banka, and Madhepura, and 10 from Bhagalpur, also tested positive to COVID-19 on November 7, 2020.
Of the 2,22,612 COVID-19 cases recorded so far in the state, altogether 2,14,736 patients have been declared cured including 825 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 96.46%. Bihar has tested 1,19,89,797 samples so far including 122530 samples on November 7, 2020. The number of active cases in the state was 6,731 on November 8, 2020.
COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,144 in BIhar on November 8, 2020, with 8 new deaths being recorded during last 24 hours including 3 from Patna and one each from Bhagalpur, Saran, West Champaran, Siwan, and Saharsa. The toll climbed to 279 in Patna on November 8.
