Patna : The COVID-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar jumped to 2,16,764 on October 31, 2020, afternoon, as 800 more persons including 258 from Patna, 53 from Gaya, 40 from Nawada, and 38 from Saharsa, tested positive to it on October 30, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 26 persons from Purnia, 25 each from Bhagalpur and Supaul, 24 from Muzaffarpur, 22 from Jehanabad, 20 each from East Champaran and Gopalganj, 19 from Aurangabad, 19 from Munger, 18 from Araria, 17 from Madhubani, 16 from Kishanganj, 14 from Samastipur, 13 from Jamui, 13 from Vaishali, 12 from Siwan, 11 from Madhepura, and 11 from Saran, also tested positive to COVID-19.
Of the 2,16,764 COVID-19 cases recorded in the state, altogether 2,07,811 patients have been declared cured including 1,186 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 95.87 %. The number of active cases was 7,862 in Bihar on October 31, 2020. The state has tested 1,09,23,023 samples so far including 1,46,940 samples on October 30.
The COVID toll jumped to 1,090 in Bihar on October 31, 2020, with 6 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 3 from Patna and one each from East Champaran, Rohtas, and Sheikhpura. The toll increased to 268 in Patna on October 31, 2020.
