New Delhi : The massive increase in the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients getting cured continues in India reaching 5,92,031 at 8 am on July 15, 2020, an increase of 20,572 during last 24 hours exceeding the number of active cases by 2,72,191. The number of active cases is 3,19,840 in the country.
On the negative side, the C0vid death toll has jumped to 24,309 with 582 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country including 213 from Maharashtra, 85 from Karnataka, 43 from Andhra Pradesh, 35 from Delhi, 28 from UP, 24 from West Bengal, 14 from Bihar, and 14 from Gujarat. In Bihar, a Chief Secretary rank IAS officer has also tested positive to Coronavirus.
COVID-19 death toll break-up in India is : Maharashtra (10,695), Delhi (3,446), Gujarat (2,069), Tamilnadu (2,099), UP (983), West Bengal (980), Karnataka (842), MP (673), Rajasthan (525), Telengana (375), Andhra Pradesh (408), Haryana (312), Punjab (213), J&K (195), Bihar (174), Odisha (74), Uttarakhand (50), Assam (40), Kerala (34), Jharkhand (36), Chhattisgarh (20), Puducherry (18), Goa (18), Himachal Pradesh (11), Chandigarh (10), Arunachal Pradesh (3), Meghalaya (2), Tripura (2), Ladakh (1), and Dadar & Nagar Hasveli and Daman (1).
As far COVID patients getting cured goes, as total of 1,49,oo7 patients have been declared cured till date followed by 97,310 in Tamilnadu, 93,236 in Delhi, 24,983 in UP, 24,840 in Telengana, 19,931 in West Bengal, sand 12,889 in Bihar
