New Delhi : A total of 20,549 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tallyof cases recorded so far in the country to 1,02,44,852 at 8 am on December 30, 2020. In contrast, 26,572 Covid-19 patients were declared cured in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 98,34,141 on December 30, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (2,62,272) by a stupendous margin of 95,71,869. The number of active cases was just 2.56% of the total cases on December 30, 2020, a drop of 6,309 cases in last 24 hours.

Of the 1,02,44,852 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 98,34,141 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 95.99%. India has tested 17,09,22,030 samples so far including 11,20,281 samples on December 29, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,48,439 in India on December 30, 2020, with 286 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 68 in Maharashtra,30 in West Bengal,  28 in Delhi, 24 in Kerala, 18 in UttarPradesh, 17 in Chhattisgarh, 12 in Tamilnadu, 10 in Haryana, 10 in Punjab, 10 in Madhya Pradesh, 7 in Gujarat, 6 in Uttarakhand, 6 in Rajasthan,  5 in Jharkhand, 4 in Karnataka, 3 in Bihar, and 2 in Andhra Pradesh.  The Case Fatality Rate remained pegged at 1.45% in the country on December 30, 2020. . India had recorded 253  new deaths on December 29, 2020.
