Patna : The number of COVID-19 cases detected so far in Bihar increased to 2,05,124 on October 19, 2020, afternoon, as 912 more persons including 253 from Patna, 48 from Muzaffarpur, 41 from Purnia, 38 from Aurangabad, 36 from Madhepura, 34 from Jehanabad, 34 from Kishanganj, 33 from Saharsa, detected positive to it on October 18, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure,26 persons from Lakhisarai, 24 each from East Champaran, West Champaran, Munger, and Bhagalpur, 19 each from Supaul, Gopalganj and Araria,18 each from Nalanda and Nawada, and 16 from Gaya, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 18, 2020.

Of the 2,05,124 COVID-19 cases reported till date in Bihar, a total of 1,93,789 patients have been declared cured including 1,195 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 94.47%. The state has tested 92,48,652 samples so far including 1,13,725 samples on October 18, 2020. The number of active cases in the state was 10,331 on October 19.

The COVID-19 toll has crossed one thousand mark in Bihar reaching 1,003 on October 19, 2020, with 7 new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Patna,  Gaya, Nalanda, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Jamui, and Purnia. The toll increased to 246 in Patna on October 19, 2020.
