Patna: District and sessions Judge, Gaya, on Monday refused to grant stay on arrest of the conroversial JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi wanted in a prohibition violation case of Gaya. The court also postponed hearing on her anticipatory bail petition to Thursday and asked the police to submit the case diary.
Manorama is mother of of Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky Yadav who was arrested on charges of murder of a 19 year old Aditya Sachdeva on Bodhgaya road on May 7 . His father Bindi Singh Yadav is also in jail in the same case.
Meanwhile,Tenny Yadav, a cousin of Rocky, surrendered before the court today and was sent to 14-day judicial custody. Tenny was ravelling with Rocky when shooting of Aditya took place in a road rage case. Manorama Devi’s security guard Rajesh Kumar, who was also arrested last week, is in judicial custody. He was also in the SUV of Rocky.
Police have issued notices at three different places in Gaya asking Manorama to surrender immediately failing which all the three properties owned by her would be confiscated.
