New Delhi : The President of India has approved conferment of Correctional Service Medals on 40 Prison personnel on the occasion of Independence Day 2019.
Three Prison personnel will be conferred on Correctional Service Medals for Distinguished Service. They are : Shakil Allauddin Shaikh, Subedar, Satara District Prison, Maharashtra; N Hemantakumar Singh, Jailor, Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa, Manipur ; and Sanjay Gupta, Deputy Superintendent, Mondoli Prison Headquarters, Delhi.
Thirtyseven prison personnel will be conferred on Correctional Service Medals for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day 2019. They include Ramesh Prashad, Superintendent, District Jail, Hajipur, Bihar, and Neeraj Kumar Jha, Director, Bihar Institute of Correctional Administration, Hajipur, Bihar, according to a PIB release.
