Saharsa : Police arrested two notorious criminals : Suman Verma and Prabhash Kumar Rai, with loaded foreign and countrymade pistols, 10 live cartridges and 16 mobile phones from a private lodge at Kahra under Sadar police station, Saharsa. Although the two criminals were arrested on February 25 late night, police made it public on February 27, 2017. They were arrested while planning some crime.
Rai hails from village Pokharwa in Darbhanga district while Verma is a native of village Bangaon in Saharsa district, said SDPO Subodh Kumar Biswas. He said police were looking into the criminal antecedent of Rai while Verma was wanted in at least six criminals lodged with Saharsa Sadar police station.
SDPO Biswas said police conducted raid at Dev Kumar lodge on a tip off. Police team was led by Sadar police station SHO Bhai Bharat and comprised Sushil Kumar Singh, Kamlesh Singh, Nitesh Kumar, Arvind Mishra ad Manglesh Kumar.
