Ara : Two persons including a minor boy were killed at two different places under Nawada and Udwantnagar police stations around  midnight on April 28, 2018, in Bhojpur district during marriage ceremony. Police brought the bodies to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Some anti-social elements thrashed a physically challenged class V student Rakesh Kumar and killed him during a dance programme at a marriage ceremony at Musahar Toli at Chandwa under Nawada police station, Ara, around midnight on April 28. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. Police arrested about half a dozen perosns in this connection. Police force have been deployed in the area.

In another incident, some persons shot dead Manish Kumar, 32, son of a retired Sub-Inspector, Krishna Nandan Singh, at village Dubauli under Udwantnagar police station around midnight on April 28 during a marriage ceremony. An FIR was lodged with  Udwantnagar police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Udwantnagar police station, said that Manish Kumar of village Kadari Rani Talab in Patna district had come to his relatives to attend a marriage ceremony at Dubauli village along with his two friends where he was shot dead. As he was killed, both his friends escaped from the spot, said the SHO. Old enmity is said to be the reason behind the incident.
