Patna : The COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,09,296 on October 22, 2020, afternoon, as 1,058 more persons including 256 from Patna, 66 from Muzaffarpur, 45 from Bhagalpur, 42 from Gaya, 42 from Madhubani, 38 each from Purnia, Gopalganj and Saharsa, tested positive to it on October 21, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 29 persons from Supaul, 28 each from Nawada and Munger, 27 each from East Champaran and Katihar, 26 from Araria, 26 from Samastipur, 25 from Saran, and 20 from Jehanabad, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 21, 2020.
Of the 2,09,296 cases recorded till date in Bihar, altogether 1,97,193 patients have been declared cured including 985 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 94.22%. The State has tested 96,76,330 samples so far including 1,45,162 samples on October 21, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,026 in Bihar on October 22, 2020, with 7 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 2 rom Patna, 2 from Saran, and one each from Supaul, Bhojpur, and Gopalganj. The toll increased to 254 in Patna on October 22, 2020.
