New Delhi : A total of 18,711 fresh Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,12,10,799 cases in the country at 8 am on March 7, 2021. On the other hand, 14,392 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,08,68,520 in the country on March 7, 2021. India had recorded, 18,327 Covid -19 cases on March 6, 2021.

Of the 112,10,799 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,08,68,520 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 96.95% on March 7, 2021. The active cases (1,84,523) accounted for 1.65% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,12,10799) on March 7, an increase of 4,219 cases in last 24 hours.

India has tested a total of 22,14,30,507 samples so far  including 7,37,830 samples on March 6, 2021. Meanwhile, 2,09,22,344 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 14,24,693 beneficiaries on March 6, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,57,756 in India on March 7, 2021, with 100 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 47 in Maharashtra, 16 in Kerala, 12 in Punjab, 5 in Karnataka, 4 in Tamilnadu, 3 in Haryana,  2 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in West Bengal, 1 in Chhattisgarh, 1 in Delhi,  1 in Bihar, 1 in Gujarat, and 1 in Andhra Pradesh. India had recorded 108 new deaths on March 6, 2021.

The Covid-19 toll in India on March 7, 2021, was : Maharashtra (52,440), Tamilnadu (12,517), Karnataka (12,359), Delhi (10,919), Andhra Pradesh (7,173), Uttar Pradesh (8,729), West Bengal (10,277), Gujarat (4,414), Madhya Pradesh (3,868), Rajasthan (2,789), Punjab (5,910), Telengana (1,641), J&K (1,961), Haryana (3,056), Bihar (1,545), Odisha (1,917), Jharkhand (1,091), Assam (1,094), Uttarakhand (1,694), Kerala (4,287), Chhattisgarh (3,855), Puducherry (670), Goa (799), Tripura (391), Chandigarh (355), Andaman & Nicobar (62), Himachal Pradesh (997), Ladakh (130), Manipur (373), Nagaland (91), Meghalaya (148), Arunachal Pradesh (56), Sikkim (135), Mizoram (10), Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2), and Lakshadweep (1).
