News Delhi : Only 201 new deaths were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,50,999 with the case fatality rate being 1.44% at 8 am on January 10, 2021. A total of 18,645 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 1,04,50,284 on January 10. On the other hand, 19,299 patients were declared cured/discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,00,75,950 on January 10, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases (2,23,335) by massive margin of 98,52,615.
The active cases accounted for only 2.14% of the total cases on January 10, 2021, a drop of 855 cases in last 24 hours. Of the 1,04,50,284 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country so far, a total of 1,00,75,950 patients have been declared cured in the country with the recovery rate (RR) being 96.42%, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
A total 201 new deaths were recorded in India in last 24 hours including 57 in Maharashtra, 22 in Kerala, 20 in West Bengal, 15 in Chhattisgarh, 12 in Uttar Pradesh, 12 in Delhi, 10 in Madhya Pradesh, 7 in Tamilnadu, 6 in Haryana, 6 in Uttarakhand, 5 in Gujarat, 4 in Rajasthan, 4 in Karnataka, 2 in Bihar, 2 in Jharkhand, and 1 in Andhra Pradesh. India had recorded 228 new deaths on January 9, 2021.
