18,000 detonators, 39 bags Ammonium Nitrate seized in Rohtas

Sasaram : Police seized 18,000 detonators and 39 bags of Ammonium Nitrate and countrymade liquor from a Pick-Up vanunder Sasaram Muffassil police station on May 21, 2017, though the miscreants fled away from the scene.

Rohtas SP Manavjeet Singh Dhillon said that police got information that explosives were being carried on the G T road. He immediately swung into action and police intercepted a Pick-Up Van near a petrol pump on the Old G T Road near village Karvandia under Sasaram Muffassil police station and seized Ammonium Nitrate packed in 39 bags, 18,000 detonators and 300 pouches of countrymade liquor.

The SP said that the miscreants, seeing the police, escaped from the scene leaving the vehicle behind. Police seized the Pick-UP van. He said that the owner of vehicle had been identified on the basis of papers found in the vehicle and raids were being conducted to arrest him.
