New Delhi  : Recoveries outscored detection of fresh Covid-19 cases by a margin of 2,731 in last 24 hours in India. A total of 20,652 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,09,20,046 in the country at 8 am on March 10, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 17,921 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24  hours taking the tally to 1,12,62,707 in the country on March 10.

The active cases (1,84,598) on March 10, 2021, accounted for 1.64% of the total Covid-19 cases ( 1,12,62,707) recorded in India so far, a drop of 2,864 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 22,34,79,877 samples so far including 7,63,081 samples on March 9. Meanwhile, a total of 2,43,67,906 persons have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 13,59,173 beneficiaries on March 9, 2021.

Of the 1,12,62,707 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,09,20,046 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) increasing to 96.96% on March 10, 2021.

The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,58,063 in India on March 10, 2021, with 133 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 56 in Maharashtra, 20 in Punjab, 16 in Kerala, 6 in Karnataka, 5 in Chhattisgarh, 4 in Tamilnadu, 4 in Haryna, 4 in Delhi, 3 in Goa, 2 in Uttar Pradesh, 2 in Himachal Pradesh, 2 in Gujarat, 2 in J&K, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Assam, and 1 in West Bengal. India had recorded 77 new deaths on March 9, 2021.
