Muzaffarpur : Police on July 29, 2017, conducted raid at the house of Ganour Sahni at village Bhadai under Hathouri police station in Muzaffarpur district and seized 15 cartons of foreign liquor from there. Police arrested Ganour Sahni and his associate Mohammad Habib from the spot. The raid was conducted jointly by teams of Hathouri police station (PS) in Muzaffarpur district and neighbouring Runnisaidpur PS in Sitamarhi district. Hathouri is about 100 km away from state capital Patna.
Katra police inspector Manoj Kumar Singh interrogated arrested Ganour Sahni and Mohammad Habib at Hathouri police station. Police had received secret information that a liquor consignment had been unloaded at village Bhadai. Ganour Sahni and Mohammad Habib, during their interrogation, informed police that they were given Rs 1,000 by one Guddu Rai to keep the liquor consignment at the village. Police are investigating into involvement of one more person in liquor smuggling.
