New Delhi : A total of 14,264 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,09,91,651 cases in the country at 8 am on February 21, 2021. The new Covid-19 cases outpaced the recoveries in last 24 hours by a margin of 2,597 on February 21, 2021. A total of 11,667 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,06,89,715 on February 21, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases ( 1,45,634) by a massive margin of 1,05,44,081.
The active cases accounted for 1.32 % of the total Covid-19 cases ( 1,09,91,651), an increase of 2,507 cases in last 24 hours. Of the 1,09,91,651 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 1,06,89,715 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.25%. India has tested 21,09,31,530 samples so far including 6,70,050 samples on February 20, 2021. Meanwhile, 1,10,85,173 Corona Warriors have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 4,32,931 beneficiaries on February 20, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,56,302 in India with 90 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 40 in Maharashtra, 13 in Kerala, 8 in Punjab, 6 in Tamilnadu, 5 in Karnataka, 4 in Madhya Pradesh, 4 in West Bengal, 2 in Chhattisgarh, 2 in Bihar, 2 in Uttar Pradesh, 1 in Rajasthan, and 1 in Delhi. India had recorded 101 new deaths on February 20, 2021.
