New Delhi : A total 13,193 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,09,63,394 cases in the country at 8 am on February 19, 2021, outpacing the number of recoveries by 2,297. On the other hand, only 10,896 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,06,67,741 in the country on February 19, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases ( 1.39,542) by a whopping margin of 1,05,28,199.
The active cases accounted for 1.27% of the total cases ( 1,09,63,394) recorded in India so far on February 19, 2021, an increase of 2,200 cases in last 24 hours. The active cases accounted for only 1.25% of the total cases on February 18, 2021. India has tested 20,94,74,862 samples so far including 7,71,071 samples on February 18, 2021. Meanwhile, a total of 1,01,88,007 Corona Warriors have been vaccinated in India so far against Covid-19 including 6,58,674 beneficiaries on February 18, 2021.
Of the 1,09,63,394 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,06,67,741 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.30%. The RR was 97.32 % in the country on February 18, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,56,111 in India on February 19, 2021, with 97 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 38 in Maharashtra, 14 in Kerala, 10 in Punjab, 6 in Karnataka, 6 in Tamilnadu, 2 in Chhattisgarh, 2 in Bihar, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Uttar Pradesh, 2 in West Bengal, 2 in Delhi, 1 in Haryana, 1 in Rajasthan, and 1 in Andhra Pradesh. The Case Fatality Rate dropped to 1.42% in India on February 19, 2021. The country had recorded 101 new deaths on February 18, 2021.
