New Delhi : A total of 13,083 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,07,33,131 in the country at 8 am on January 30, 2021. On the other hand, 14,808 Covid-19 patients were declared cured /discharged in the country on January 30, 2021, taking the tally to 1,04,09,160, exceeding the number of active cases (1,69,824) by a huge margin of 1,02,39,336. The active cases accounted for just 1.58% of the total cases (1,07,33,131) on January 30, 2021, a drop of 1,862 cases in last 24 hours.
Of the 1,07,33,131 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,04,09,160 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 96.98%. India has tested 19,58,37,408 samples so far including 7,56,329 samples on January 30, 2021. Meanwhile, 35,00,027 healthcare workers have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far in India including 5,71,974 beneficiaries on January 29, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,54,147 in India on January 30, 2021, with 137 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 56 in Maharashtra, 22 in Kerala, 11 in Punjab, 7 in Chhattisgarh, 7 in West Bengal, 6 in Delhi, 6 in Tamilnadu, 4 in Uttar Pradesh, 3 in Madhya Pradesh, 3 in Bihar, 2 in Karnataka, 2 in Rajasthan, 1 in Haryana, and 1 in Jharkhand. India had recorded 163 new deaths on January 29, 2021.
