New Delhi : New Covid-19 cases outpaced the recoveries in last 24 hours in India. A total of 12,923 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,08,71,294 cases at 8 am on February 11, 2021. In sharp contrast, only 11,764 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,05,73,372 on February 11, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases (1,42,562) by a whopping margin of 1,04,30,810. The active cases accounted for 1.31 % of the total Clovid-19 cases ( 1,08,71,294) on February 11, 2021, an increase of 1,051 cases in last 24 hours.
Of the 1,08,71,294 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,05,73, 372 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.26%on February 11, 2021. India has tested 20,40,23,840 samples so far including 6,99,185 samples on February 10, 2021. Meanwhile, 70,17,114 healthcare workers have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 4,05,349 beneficiaries on February 10, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,55,360 in India with 108 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 30 in Maharashtra, 18 in Kerala, 14 in Punjab, 9 in Chhattisgarh, 5 in West Bengal, 5 in Uttar Pradesh, 5 in Tamilnadu, 3 in Karnataka, 3 in Jharkhand, 3 in Rajasthan, 2 in Bihar, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, and 2 in Delhi. India had recorded only 94 new deaths on February 10, 2021.
