New Delhi :A total of 12,689 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases to 1,06,89,527 at 8 am on January 27, 2021. On the other hand, 13,320 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in the country taking the tally to 1,03,59,305 on January 27, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases ( 1,76,498) by a massive margin of 1,01,82,807. The active cases accounted for only 1.65% of the total Covid-19 cases ( 1,06,89,527) on January 27, 2021, a drop of 768 cases in last 24 hours.
Of the 1,06,89,527 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 1,03,59,305 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 96.91%. India has tested 19,30,62,694 samples so far including 7,25,577 samples on January 26, 2021. Meanwhile, 20,29,480 Corona Warriors have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far in India including 5,671 beneficiaries on January 26, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,53,724 in India on January 27, 2021, with 137 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 47 in Maharashtra, 19 in Kerala, 14 in Chhattisgarh, 11 in Punjab, 9 in West Bengal, 8 in UttarPradesh, 7 in Delhi, 5 in Tamilnadu, 4 in Karnataka, 3 in Bihar, 2 in Gujarat, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, and 1 in Andhra Pradesh. India had recorded 117 new deaths on January 26, 2021.
