124 BAS officers promoted to Deputy Secretary rank

Patna : Bihar government on July 12, 2017, provisionally promoted 124 officers of Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) to the rank of Deputy Secretary. The government has also upgraded the respective post they are holding at present to the Deputy Secretary rank till they hold the post. Their promotion will be subject to the order of the Supreme Court in an SLP, Bihar Government vs Sushil Kumar Singh and others. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued two  notifications to this effect on July 12 itself.
