Muzaffarpur : Twelve crows were found dead at a Mango orchard at village Chandanpatti under Sakra police station in Muzaffarpur district in North Bihar on January 6, 2019, triggering panic among the villagers, who suspect they died due Bird Flu. Sakra is 95 km away from Patna.

A team of veterinary doctors visited the Mango Orchard on January 6 on the direction of Muzaffarpur DM and collected samples from dead crows. The team also inspected six poultry farms running under Sakara police station. But, District Animal Husbandy Officer, Muzaffarpur, Dr Manoj Kumar, tlaimed that symptoms of Bird Flu were not found at the Mango Orchard. Dr Kumar said that the crows might have died after consuming some poisonous thing.
