Patna : The Covid-19 cases climbed to 1,09,16,589 in India at 8 am on February 15, 2021, as the country recorded 11,649 new cases during last 48 hours. On the other hand, only 9,489 Covid-19 patients were declared cured in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,06,21,220 exceeding the number of active cases ( 1,39,637) by a huge margin of 1,04,81,583 on February 15, 2021. The active cases accounted for 1.28% of the total cases (1,09,16,589) on February 15, 2021.
Of the 1,09,16,589 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,06,21,220 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.29%. The country has tested 20, 67,16,634 samples so far including 4,86,122 samples on February 14, 2021. Meanwhile, 82,85,295 healthcare workers have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far in India including 21,437 beneficiaries on February 14, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,55,732 in India on February 15, 2021, with 90 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours.
