Ara : With a view to maintaining law and order during parliamentary election scheduled to be held on May 19, 2019, 11 inmates of Ara jail including Butan Chaudhary and Pawan Chaudhary were transferred to Bhagalpur Central Jail on April 19, 2019,  evening, under tight security.Niranjan Pandit, Superintendent, Ara Jail, said that a list of the inmates, who might create disturbances during the election and always indulge in plotting from inside the jail, was prepared and they were transferred to Bhagalpur Central Jail.

The inmates who were transferred are : Shivjit Mishra, his sons : Dhananjay Mishra and  Brajesh Mishra, of Sonbarsha village under Shahpur police station, Rajesh Yadav of Karnaul Chandi under Charpokhari police station, Butan Chaudhary and  Pawan Chaudhary of Belaur village under Udwantnagar police station, Dani Yadav of Hospital Road under Bihia police station, Ashok Rawani of Anua village under Sahar police station, Dhanji Yadav of Shital Tola under Ara Town police station, Sunil Paswan of Chandi village under Charpokhari police station, and Dheeraj Pandey of Siakti village under Gadhani police station.

Shivjit Mishra, his sons : Dhananjay Mishra and Brajesh Mishra, are in the jail in connection with murder of the BJP state Vice-President Bisheshwar Ojha, while Butan Chaudhary and Pawan Chaudhary were involved in a number of violent clashes in the area. Butan Chaudhary was arrested with AK-47.
