11 CRPF, police personnel injured in IED blast in Seraikela Kharsawa in Jharkhand

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Eleven Jawans of the CRPF and state police were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast triggered by Naxalites around 5 am on May 28, 2019, in Kuchai area in Seraikela Kharsawan district in Jharkhand.

The ultras triggered the blast when a joint team of CRPF’s Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA)  and state police was carrying out an operation in the forests of Kuchai area in Seraikela Kharsawan district, according to police. The IED was suspected to have been fixed under the dirt track. The injured included 8 CoBRA Jawans while the rest belonged to the state police. They were airlifted to Ranchi for treatment, police said.
