Gopalganj : One person was killed and 4 four others sustained serious injuries after a four-wheeler carrying bride and bridegroom was rammed by a passenger train on Thawe-Siwan rail route of North-Eastern railways on July 18, 2018.  The mishap also affected movement of trains on
the route.
Railway sources said that 55110 passenger train was on way to Siwan from Thawe. A man along with his bride was on way to Siwan to board a train on a four-wheeler. At Chotpur unmanned  railway crossing, the train rammed the four-wheeler which got entangled with the engine.

The driver of the four-wheeler Mohd Yasin, a resident of Jangalia in Gopalganj, was killed on the spot. The bridegroom Aamir Hussain, a resident of New Station Road in Panahgarh in West Bengal, his wife Shama Shamshad, Umrana Khatoon, and Shaif Ali were rescued by the villagers. The condition of all the injured is serious.
